Overview
This position location is preferably in our Philadelphia, PA Office, however would consider a Central or East Coast location.
Responsible for managing in-force Multiple Employer Plan (?MEP?) and Professional Employer Organization (PEO) relationships and attaining specified levels of asset retention, client satisfaction and organic growth of existing plans.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for asset retention and client satisfaction for assigned book of business, primarily 401(k) MEP/PEO business
Responsible for relationship management through required proactive face-to-face client visits and proactive phone contact, including on-site annual plan reviews, investment reviews and service meetings with clients, brokers and third party investment consultants, if applicable, including
o Trains clients on Transamerica processes and procedures and resources, including web-site navigation, reporting, and participant services
o Acts as project coordinator/team leader to manage internal resources for the escalation and resolution of service related issues and to plan and implement new services to meet clients? needs
o Consults with clients and brokers on qualified plan design issues. Interprets and explains plan provisions and regulations. Recommends alternative plan design provisions to accomplish clients? goals. Forwards requests for plan amendments through appropriate channels for processing
o Responsible for ensuring the year end testing process runs smoothly and is well planned according to client and Transamerica?s needs. Interprets of discrimination testing rules and results. Consults on solutions to failed testing
o Consults with clients and brokers on plan investment vehicles, including performance, diversification, style, suitability, etc.
o Consults with clients and brokers on plan enhancements or service upgrades
o Keeps clients and brokers apprised of product and service enhancements, including changes in investment options, working with Product Development Team on contract pricing revisions
o Designs participant education campaigns with clients to meet their specific needs and increase participation
o Consults with clients on withdrawal of participation issues for client companies. Advise what options are available to a client company upon withdrawing from participating in the Plan. Submit plan termination requests for processing. Serve as a contact person for the Plan Sponsor during the plan termination process. Similar to above, consults with clients on plan options following company mergers.
o Explains and interprets the contract?s provisions regarding discontinuance (timing issues, notice issues, etc.).
Responsible for developing, implementing and updating marketing plans and strategies to achieve organic growth goals related to prospect generation and annual plan growth in assets, including
o Provides training for MEP Sponsors, their sales, marketing and client service teams
o Provides training on marketing support and sales process to advisors and/or TPAs associated with existing MEP Sponsors
o Monthly calls to Advisors to review prospect and adopter sales activity and determine additional needs
o Monthly e-mails to MEP Sponsor Clients and Advisors (Exact Target)
o Documents all activity with MEP Sponsor Clients, Advisors and TPAs in Pivotal and/or CMS as required
o Reviews current year adopting employer sales and prospect activity as well as year over year organic growth with MEP Sponsors and Advisors on client visits or calls
o Manages prospective adopter pipeline for assigned MEP Sponsor Clients
New Business. Assists sales representatives with sales presentations, acts as a subject matter expert in topics such as Transamerica?s service model, installation process, ongoing administration, plan design, process and procedures
Contributes to and participates in departmental and organization-wide projects and committees designed to enhance service delivery, improve internal training, make recommendations for service improvement, etc.
Represents TRS at Industry Association meetings (NAPEO, Association Conferences)
Qualifications
We are looking for a person with these required skills and education
3 to 5 years industry experience
Client Management, customer service or sales experience working with complex plan designs in a qualified plan market
Four year college degree or comparable experience
A thorough working knowledge of ERISA and recent legislation
A thorough working knowledge of qualified retirement plan investments
Advanced negotiation skills
Ability to work independently
Strong public speaking and presentation skills including board room environment
Proven ability to effectively manage client relationships
Proven ability to work in a team environment
Proven ability to communicate technically complex subject matter
Ability to prioritize and constantly re-prioritize workload
Ability to work as an internal project coordinator/team leader to manage internal resources to achieve client?s goals
Ability and willingness to travel 30%
