TELECOMMUNICATIONS TECHNCIAN

All eligible technicians must:Be 21 years of age
Have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record
Pass a pre-employment drug screen
Pass a criminal background check
Carry and climb an 80-pound extension ladder

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Generally, this work consists of placing new wiring or utilizing any existing wiring from a distribution point, and making all the necessary connections to install cable tv, high speed internet and digital phone services.

A technician is responsible for:

Completing all installations to client specifications.

Making sure the subscriber understands how to use all services installed, and is satisfied with all phases of the work.

Completing acceptable quantities of work daily and the proper processing of that work.

Accurate and neat paperwork.

Conducting himself/herself and their vehicle in a safe, professional manner at all times.

Applying the safety instructions and procedures detailed in the technician manual to the work everyday.

Keeping a neat and clean appearance in line with the standards set by our client companies.

HOURS

The normal workweek is five days, with Saturday typically being the busiest day. Six-day workweeks are required based on client needs. The work is available all year.

COMPANY VEHICLE

All technicians will be required to drive a company vehicle to complete their work.

You may be eligible to drive the vehicle to and from your home if you qualify for home garaging.
