Job: Senior Engineer R&D

Client is a consumer electronics company headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA. We are looking for senior engineers for core product development and R&D engineers. We are an extremely successful company with tremendous growth opportunities.
We presently need an experienced individual who is able to function independently and is willing to perform tasks at all levels. The incumbent will have responsibility for hardware development and test.

Minimum Requirements/Experience:
* BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education/work experience
* Minimum of 7 years professional experience
* Electronics design experience - digital circuit design
* PCB board layout (OrCAD, Cadence, or similar)
* Strong problem solving skills & desire to create world changing products.
Preferred Experience:
* 5 years professional experience in a design environment
* Low Power Applications and portable systems.
* TI MSP430 processors
* Rapid prototyping
* Commercialization & volume production


Additional Experience of Interest:

* An understanding of magnetic materials
* UL, CE, FCC standards compliance (EMI, Safety)
* Experience in mechanical fixture design
* Embedded Programming (MSP430), C/C++
* Experience with plastics/lamination
* Membrane/dome key switches/buttons
* Analog design
* Architecture Design
* Testing
