Job: Counseling Center Therapist

Outpatient Counseling is for anyone experiencing life problems or mental health issues. Services are available to individuals ages 5 and older and are provided by Master's level clinicians.

Outpatient Counseling may include:
Individual, family and group therapy for a variety of mental health issues such as marital or family issues, parent-child relationship problems, separation and loss, sexual abuse, depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders and Attention-Deficit
Hyperactivity Disorder.

Each client participates in creating an individual treatment plan based on goals and
objectives.

On-site psychiatric services are available for evaluation and/or medication management.

Services are available in Allegheny, Butler and Beaver.

Requirements:
Master’s degree in a counseling related field, and one year experience required; licensing and credentialing required.
Must possess knowledge of the principles and techniques of full service counseling w/knowledge of counseling theory and technique at a graduate level.
Must possess theological knowledge and sensitivity and the skills and ability to integrate within one’s own style as appropriate to the client.
Must be able to establish and maintain a positive therapeutic relationship with clients in a consistent and continuing manner.
Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relations with agency personnel and community agencies.
Must be able to use counseling methods generally accepted by professional peers and approved by Glade Run Lutheran Services
Must be able to accept supervision.
Must be able to adjust hours to job requirements.
Must be able to work independently.
Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to protect the confidentiality of the clients.
Must be eligible for Act 33/34 and FBI clearances.
