Jobing Description
Major Duties: (May perform any or all of the following duties)
Review all requested services with the customer in order to ensure understanding and agreement.
Survey the installation route and review proposed route with the customer in order to obtain agreement on the location of cable outlet(s)
Perform work including but not limited to: reconnects, requested and non-pay disconnects, additional outlets, changes of service, prewires, postwires, and custom installation work for all lines of business.
Performs troubleshooting activities from the tap to the customer's equipment.
Perform cable leakage monitoring and log.
Provides information on available services to new and existing customers in order to sell additional services and attempt to upgrade services.
Installs and removes set-top boxes in order to provide customer with upgrades or downgrades in service.
Clean, maintain and stock vehicle and equipment in order to be prepared to perform required duties.
Complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
Determine acceptability of service by reviewing picture quality following installation of cable service in order to provide the best possible service for the customer.
Provide customer with education in the proper use and functions of equipment and services.
Demonstrate professional conduct and appearance. -Properly operate and maintain tools and equipment.
Report need for vehicle repair or service when required and/or prescribed.
Report any accidents, losses, injuries or property damage to supervisor and customer when appropriate.
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor in order to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.





Skills / Requirements
EDUCATION:
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE:
Valid driver's license with good driving record required.
Minimum of 6 months technical experience in internet, cable, and telephone repair or installation required.
Minimum of 6 months customer service experience required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, climb tall ladders, and enter crawl spaces as this is an essential function of the job.
Ability to work overtime, as needed.
