Job: Vocational Specialist

This position's purpose is to assist at risk girls in the development of skills to obtain and retain employment and help them explore career options through employment partnerships and job shadowing. This positions is responsible for delivering academic support, career education and life skills related to their Pathway Plan goals through interactive groups, individual projects, and partnerships in the community. This includes recruiting job shadowing sites in the community and facilities both individual and group job shadow experiences.

Education/Knowledge Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Work, Human Services or related field required. Experience working with special needs/at-risk children and families preferred. Basic computer skills needed. Good written and verbal communication skills necessary, as well as an ability to develop rapport with clients. Strong organizational, problem solving, interpersonal relationship and communications skills necessary.

Licensure/Certification:

Clearances Required: Act 33 & Act 34 Clearances, FBI Clearance & Act 80 Requirements, good driving record, valid driver's license, reliable vehicle and proof of insurance per policy.
