Job Description: Job Summary This position is responsible for the accurate and timely input of donor information from the Blood Donation Record (BDR) into the NBCS computer system. Contact of donors is done, when required, to verify demographic information. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures, Safety Quality Identity Potency Purity (SQUIPP), regulations outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other applicable Federal, state and local regulations. Responsibilities 1. Maintain current knowledge and understanding of regulations in the Code of Federal Regulations, American Red Cross Blood Services Directives, and other applicable federal, state, and local laws appropriate for job functions. 2. Input donor information from Blood Donation Records (BDRs) into the NBCS computer system. 3. Contact donors, when necessary, to verify identifying information on the BDR. 4. Contact NBCS User Support, when necessary. 5. May prepare BDR envelopes for release to Records. 6. Perform other related duties as assigned.
