We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Regional Sales Executive (RSE) within our Life and Disability sales division.

This RSE will support the DC metro, Maryland, and Virginia territory and will report to the Regional Sales Director. The ideal candidate must currently live in the territory have excellent product knowledge of group Life & Disability products and have active broker relationships within the territory.


  • Sell and service Symetra's Group Life and Group Disability products in the assigned territory
  • Meet and negotiate with underwriters and producers
  • Responsible for building and growing a profitable block of Symetra business in this geographic territory.


Job Requirements


  • 5- 10 years of successful Group Sales experience with emphasis on Group Life and Disability sales
  • Solid relationships with key brokers, agents and consultants in assigned territory (Maryland, D.C. and Virginia)
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Underwriting experience
  • Proficient PC skills
  • Demonstrated technical communication skills both written and verbal
  • Travel 40-50%
