JR PACS Administrator

The Jr. PACS Administrator will be responsible for maintaining image workflow throughout all PACS and provide application analysis, technical support, and application system administration for PACS information systems and related Imaging Information Systems. Responsibilities include working with end-users, vendors, and internal Information Services technical staff.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Works closely with Manger of Clinical Systems, in the management of operating standards, policies and procedures, and education of imaging workflow cross departments.
o Works closely with Senior PACS Manager to Maintains the calibrations/functionality of the PACS system. (Monitor calibration, software upgrades, server functionality, etc.)
o Responsible for the operational administration and network management of all PACS servers and workstations as directed.
o Performs PACS’s Administrator duties including but not limited to manual editing of master data files in PACS as directed.
o Performs testing and training of technologists in proper use of RIS/PACS related software.
o Perform manual correction of system data entry errors, troubleshoots system and connectivity issues.
o Assists in the maintenance of server/workstation hardware and software performs as expected.
o Responsible for assignment of system user’s rights including user additions and deletions.
o Strives to maintain system use and configuration meets all applicable HIPPA standards.
o Works closely with Manger of Clinical Systems, in the management of operating standards, policies and procedures, and education cross departments.
o Trouble shoots problems with the various computer programs
o Evaluate all work products against organizational compliance standards.
o Interact with vendors to investigate new solutions and support existing processes.
o Train users on the use of the PACS Systems
o Participate in the IT department’s support procedures for clinical applications.
o Seek out opportunities for training and demonstrate how that training will benefit the company.
o Works efficiently within the team environment of the IT department and contribute to team task accomplishment
o Adheres to all company regulations stated in the company hand book.
o Must keep constant professionalism and phone etiquette.
o Performs other tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support the goals of the company.
o Dress business casual during business hours
o Prior Hospital or related experience preferred
o Prior knowledge of PACS / DICOM / HL7 required
o 2 years of combined experience in systems maintenance, support, analysis and implementation required
o Microsoft Office experience required
